Successful Removal of Congenital Eyelid Capillary Hemangioma

I had a congenital capillary hemangioma on my eyelid. Over time, as it grew on my eyelid, I wanted it removed. I consulted dermatology, plastic surgery, and ophthalmology departments, but the responses were always the same: risk of asymmetry, bleeding, and other complications.

I learned about Prof. Dr. Altuğ Çetinkaya through a friend and reached him via email. He responded within half an hour.

He stated that the hemangioma could be removed and requested an orbital MRI for evaluation. When I visited his clinic, his reassuring approach helped me decide to proceed with the surgery.

I underwent the operation on 28.05.2025. The result was excellent—there is no asymmetry between my eyelids, and the hemangioma was completely removed.
