Successful Correction of Marcus Gunn Syndrome and Congenital Ptosis in a Child

Our 3-year-old child had congenital Marcus Gunn syndrome and eyelid ptosis. Regarding Marcus Gunn syndrome, the doctors we previously consulted told us that it was a very difficult surgery and that they did not know any surgeon who would take on such a case, so we had completely lost hope.

Then we met the highly respected, kind, and one of the most valuable physicians in our country, Prof. Dr. Altuğ Çetinkaya.

He successfully corrected the Marcus Gunn syndrome, which is considered extremely challenging—described by him as “like searching for a needle in a cornfield”—and also resolved the eyelid ptosis problem.

It has now been 4–5 months, and there are no issues with the eyelid position.
