This patient underwent upper eyelid blepharoplasty. Although a brow lift was recommended, the patient preferred not to have it. To achieve a more natural look despite the sagging outer brow, we carefully reshaped the brow intraoperatively without lifting it.

This patient’s hollow upper eyelid was successfully treated with a dermis–fat graft, restoring:

• Natural eyelid fullness
• Smooth contour

What is a Dermis–Fat Graft?

A dermis–fat graft is a surgical technique in which a small piece of the patient’s own skin (dermis) and underlying fat is taken, usually from an area like the lower abdomen or buttock, and transplanted to another site — in this case, the upper eyelid.

Why is it used in the eyelid?

• To fill sunken or hollow upper eyelids (often after aging, surgery, or trauma)
• To restore natural volume and contour
• To provide a long-lasting and biocompatible solution, since it uses the patient’s own tissue

Advantages:
